Schmalz: Committed to Added-Value at the Regional Level

Last year, Schmalz christened its largest construction project to date. With this EUR 16 million investment, the company declared its commitment to its location and the surrounding region.

- The new logistics system plays an important role by simplifying the flow of goods from delivery to commissioning, packaging and on to shipping.
In order to meet the quality requirements for its products, the company thinks that it is important to have a strong base of expertise in Glatten. With this new production facility, the company was able to implement the effective Schmalz added-value system and realize efficient production processes and cutting-edge logistics concepts. "The goals of the added-value system include attaining high quality and ensuring fast delivery and high stock turnover. The added-value system, together with the company's modern workplaces, forms the basis for economic production and sustainable competitive ability," says Wolfgang Schmalz.
