NEW: Jumbo for explosion-hazard areas

The new "explosion proof" Jumbo complies with the European explosion-protection directive 94/9/EG (ATEX 100).

It may be used in Zones 1 and 2 ("areas subject to explosion hazards resulting from flammable gases, mists and vapours") and Zones 21 and 22 ("areas subject to explosion hazards resulting from flammable dusts").

With the vacuum-tube lifter Jumbo, you can now transport loads quickly and ergonomically in the chemicals industry, in paint factories, in the production of pharmaceuticals, in woodworking shops, in the munitions industry or in bakeries.

Typical applications:

• Handing of paint cans and barrels


• Handling of chipboards


• Handling of explosive materials

This ergonomical handling aid is available in various versions:

• JumboSprint Ex for loads of 45 to 85 kg.


• JumboHandy Ex for lighter loads (up to 30 kg).


• Versions with vacuum generation by a pneumatically driven multi-stage ejector SEM 100 or 300 Ex.

• A wide range of vacuum grippers made of stainless steel.


• All mechanical components with antistatic finish.


• Suitable cranes made of stainless steel or painted with equipotential bonding.


• A comprehensive range of accessories which comply with the explosion-protection regulations (such as a quick-change adapter for quick and easy changing of the vacuum grippers).

The vacuum generators:

The multi-stage ejectors from Schmalz ensure low energy costs (in the case of intermittent, short-term operation) and pay for themselves quickly (due to their low purchase price). They are ideal for use on large cranes.
