With the VacuMaster 750, the vacuum specialists J. Schmalz GmbH in 72293 Glatten now offer a new version in the range of crane-mounted vacuum lifting devices for the horizontal handling of a wide range of loads such as sheets of metal, barrels, panes of glass, sheets of plastic, chipboards, stones and many others. The user can now select a lifting device with one of six different lifting capacities: 125, 250, 500, 750, 1,000 and 2,000 kg. The new version thus closes the gap in the existing range of devices for horizontal handling and the user can now configure his own device to meet his requirements. The lifting capacities of the models with 90° swivelling of loads (125, 250 and 500 kg) and with 180° swivelling (125 and 250 kg) remain unchanged.
But this is not the only innovation: since April 2003, all vacuum lifting devices of the VacuMaster series with electrical vacuum generation and the vacuum turning benches of the VWT 180° series are equipped as standard with an electronic warning device. This provides the operator with an audible signal if the power fails, if the vacuum generator fails or if the vacuum drops as the result of leaks. This represents a further improvement in the operational safety of the vacuum lifting devices, since it gives the operator a timely warning so that he can take the necessary actions to prevent an accident.
In addition, all VacuMaster devices with a longitudinal beam can now be equipped with optional feet to protect the sealing lips of the suction plates when the device is parked or stored. This results in a longer operational lifetime. When the lifting device is in use, the metal feet can be swung up quickly so that they do not interfere with normal operation.
The vacuum lifting devices of the VacuMaster series are also equipped as standard with further safety features: a vacuum reservoir, a vacuum gauge and a safety manual slide valve. The long operator handle ensures that the operator remains outside the danger area when transporting objects with the device. Furthermore, the suction plates and the vacuum pumps are always generously dimensioned to ensure that the devices by far exceed the requirements of the applicable safety regulations. Schmalz pays great attention to reliability and safety and can therefore offer an absolute functional guarantee and a guarantee that devices supplied for testing can always be returned if they prove unsuitable.
