The Vacuum Tube Lifter JumboErgo Enables to Unload a CNC Production Line without Damaging the Materials

NOVA, a medium-sized company located in Donaueschingen, Germany, has become one of the leading manufacturers of ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Sheet-metal wall panels are manufactured in the CNC production line. Two employees unload the line. Apart from simply unloading and picking the system, making the work easier, order picking, and keeping the delicate sheet metal parts from being damaged were of primary importance.

The vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo 45 is designed for purely horizontal handling of workpieces weighing up to 45 kg. The efficient unloading of machines by only one person reduces machine downtimes and increases productivity. This vacuum tube lifter is equipped with a double suction pad. Both suction pads can be freely positioned along the lmain beam to fit the workpiece format. The suction pads that are used allow gentle handling, without scratching or otherwise damaging the materials. For this application, the vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo is combined with an column-mounted slewing crane SK (made of aluminum) for handling loads of up to 110 kg. The crane, which is very easy to move and allows an especially ergonomic use of the vacuum tube lifter, rounds off this Schmalz solution nicely.
