The VacuMaster shown here is ideal for lifting and handling long workpieces. It is used for lifting ship's sides in a boatyard. The suction pads can be disabled in pairs with the aid of manually operated slide valves. The 10 suction pads along the longitudinal beam are for lifting narrow objects such as I-beams. If the outer suction pads are disabled, the unit can lift short objects with a length of 2 m or more; the suction pads can be positioned as desired for this. Additional protective elements permit outdoor use of the unit.
