Dual Studies
The dual studies offer a unique combination of theory and practice. During the course of study, you are on the one hand a student, and on the other already in a training relationship with Schmalz.
Students switch between studying at the state college in Villingen-Schwenningen or Horb and practical experience at Schmalz in three-month cycles. In this way you gain the qualifications necessary for daily work, in addition to professional and methodological knowledge.
During your course of studies, you have the opportunity to spend three months at one of our companies outside Germany. There you will not only develop your linguistic skills, you will also get to know the business processes and modes of operation in foreign companies.
After three years of intensive study and an academic final paper (bachelor thesis), the graduate is awarded a bachelor's degree.

- Mechanical Engineering, Construction and Development (B.Eng.) – Bachelor of Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering (B.Eng.) – Bachelor of Engineering
- Industrial Engineering (B.Eng.) – Bachelor of Engineering
- Industrial Engineering, Product and Process Management (B.Eng.) – Bachelor of Engineering
