Self-powered - economical - safe!

The self-powered vacuum lifting devices of the VacuMaster Eco series from SCHMALZ master a wide range of handling tasks with loads of up to 2000 kg without an external power supply.

Possible applications:

  • Airtight, intrinsically rigid workpieces such as metal sheets, stone slabs, plastic panels and
sheets of glas with a smooth surface.
  • For loads of up to 2000 kg
  • Horizontal handling of heavy loads
  • For use in varying locations

  • High level of safety thanks to an acoustical warning device with battery test function
  • Simple handling by a single person by means of an ergonomic operating handle
  • Simple and quick commissioning
  • Easy operation using only the controls of the crane
  • No continuous and expensive power consumption
  • Almost no maintenance
  • Gripping without damage to the workpieces
  • Silent operation

Function principle

Workpiece handling without an external power supply

The technology used in the self-powered vacuum lifting devices VacuMaster Eco bsed on the principle of intrinsic vacuum generation.
The integrated cylinder of the device is held down by the weight of the workpiece, while the piston in this cylinder is pulled up by the force of the crane.

This generates a partial vacuum in the cylinder which is proportional to the weight of the load and ensures that the workpiece is held safely on the lifting device.

Technical Data

Handling loads of up to 2000 kg without external power supplies

Each version of the vacuum lifting device is equipped with one or more suction pads from the comprehensive range of SCHMALZ standard suction pads. The suction pads are selected to match the size and surface-finish of the workpiece and its weight.

Our system consultants will gladly help you to select the correct configuration.

On versions with two or more suction pads, these are mounted on the beam of the vacuum lifting device, where they can be positioned as desired. This means that the suction pads can be adapted easily to handle workpieces of different sizes and shapes. On versions with six or more suction pads, mounting elements with universal joints and springs are installed as standard in order to ensure optimal matching to any variations in the workpiece surface.
