In addition to the complete suction pad solutions, SCHMALZ has developed a modular system of components. This means that you no longer need to make do with a particular form of suction pad. Instead, you can construct the precise suction pad to match your application and requirements from the following components.

Holders

Holders are used for mounting the suction pad on the basic machine or on the arm of an industrial robot. Many different versions are available.

Spring plungers (FSTE, FSTA)

Spring plungers or fixed sleeves can be used as securing elements. However, spring plungers are a much better solution for many applications, since they compensate for excessive strokes of the handling unit and for different workpiece heights and also avoid damage to sensitive workpieces, since they make soft contact with the workpiece.

Flexible mountings (Flexolink FLK),

Adapter nipples (ANW, AN)

As a supplement to the spring plunger or fixed sleeve, the Flexolink FLK permits better adaptation of the suction pad to any unevenness of the workpiece surface. Adapter nipples for air extraction at the side are used wherever the overall installation height needs to be kept to a minimum.

Connection nipples

The connection nipples provide the connection between the mounting element and the suction pad. The thread size and the design must match the suction pad.

Suction pad

The suction pad is the decisive connection between the vacuum circuit and the workpiece. Its suitability for various workpiece surfaces is one of the factors which determine its holding force. Suctions pads are available in many different shapes and materials.
