Warranty:

All Schmalz vacuum components purchased via our web site are warranted for 90 days from the date of purchase to be free from manufacturing defects. Should a problem occur with a particular product from Schmalz, please call our office (919-713-0880), provide detailed information and obtain a return authorization number. Returns made without a return authorization (RA) number may not be processed. If a return product is found to be defective, Schmalz will, at it discretion, replace, repair, or issue credit for the product being returned.

Sub-suppliers warranties will supercede Schmalz warranties if applicable. In special cases where a product has been sourced and a warranty claim is made, the Sub-suppliers warranty will prevail.

Schmalz will not, under any circumstances, be liable for consequential or incidental damages, including, but not limited to, labor costs or loss of profits arising in connection with the use of or inability to use products purchased from Schmalz.

Returns:

Returns made to Schmalz for credit due to order entry errors or misapplication of the product for a particular task will be subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee. Product returned must be new, less than 60 days old, and in saleable condition for credit to be issued. In order to return a product for credit, please call our office (919-713-0880) and obtain a return authorization number. Returns made without a RA number may not be processed or a higher restocking fee will apply. All returns must be shipped back with freight charges prepaid. We will refund the freight for any returns that are clearly our responsibility.

Ordering:

If not ordering online, to minimize errors, we prefer orders be faxed to our office (919-713-0883). Alternatively orders can be mailed or e-mailed to our office at the address listed below. It is the customer’s responsibility to mark orders that are confirming to avoid duplicate shipments. It is also the customer’s responsibility to insure alternate ship-to addresses are included on the purchase order along with the end users purchase order number.

Prices and Minimum order amount:

All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are in US currency and do not include packaging, freight, applicable state and local taxes, special charges and duties. Buyer is responsible for all such costs. A minimum order charge of $50.00 net will apply to all orders for items in this price list. All prices are F.O. B. Raleigh North Carolina, or alternative shipping point, exclusive of taxes and packaging.

Damaged Shipments:

The receiving party should thoroughly inspect all shipments received from Schmalz at time of delivery. If damage exists, the extent of damage should be noted on the freight bill. It is the customer’s responsibility to notify the freight company to initiate a claim. Schmalz’ responsibility for damage ceases when the shipment is accepted by the carrier. When requested, Schmalz will assist the customer in filing a claim for damage.

Short Shipments:

Schmalz takes precautions to insure the orders being shipped are complete to the extent that the items shipped match what is on the delivery note. It is the customer’s responsibility upon receipt to fully inspect the shipment. All discrepancies must be reported to Schmalz within 48 hours after receipt of shipment, otherwise credit or other action will not be taken.

If you require assistance in applying a product, need a special item, have questions about your order, or want to return an item just call us at 919-713-0880. If you have questions regarding an invoice, freight charges or a credit memo, please ask for our accounting department.

Payment terms:

Orders by credit card (VISA or American Express) are accepted at any time. Credit cards are charged at time of shipment. With prior approval credit may be extended. Presently our terms are 1% ten / net 30 days from date of invoice.
