Bachelor of Engineering Electrical Engineering, specialisation Infotronics

The world is becoming smart. This is not only changing our everyday lives, but also our work: the smart factory provides information in real time and individually manufactured products. In the Infotronics focus of the Electrical Engineering degree programme, hardware meets software.

The study

With your knowledge, production facilities and processes become smarter and more resource-efficient. Autonomous systems refine logistics and provide important information in real time. The study model is the answer to the requirements of the future: Industry 4.0, Internet of Things and Services, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. In order to help shape these technological and social trends, an interdisciplinary understanding of information management is necessary. Infotronics therefore combines electrical engineering, majoring in automation, with in-depth content in information and communication technology, computer science and business informatics.

The spectrum of your work ranges from the conception and development of hardware and software solutions for digital products, the execution of tests to data monitoring and analysis in networked systems. A stay at one of our branch offices rounds off your studies.

During your studies, you will work in the areas of product development, control technology and pre-development. At Schmalz, we believe that the future is digital. That's why you have good prospects for a successful career with us as a graduate.
