Santiago de Querétaro, to give Querétaro its official title, is located in Central America and has around 860,000 inhabitants. The city is particularly well known for its colonial architecture. The historic center of Querétaro has also been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The city’s most important landmark is its aqueduct, which is made up of 74 stone arches with a combined length of more than 1.2 km. The famous water conduit was constructed between 1726 and 1738 and is included in the list of Historic Civil Engineering Landmarks.
