As a technical manager you are a real specialist in your field. You are the largest knowledge carrier within the team that is professionally led by you. You are the central contact person in your field within the company, but you also represent your expertise externally. In addition, you ensure the professional training and further education of your colleagues with targeted suggestions. You do not have any disciplinary duties, but you can concentrate in detail on your specialist knowledge.
As a project manager you are an expert in managing complex company, development or customer projects. You work in a very structured and efficient manner and are able to assert yourself in conflict situations. Your tasks include the management, coordination, planning and controlling of extensive, cross-interface and often international projects. With your strong communication skills and empathy, you will keep the team together and bring the projects to a successful conclusion. The prerequisite for a career as a project manager is several days of participation in project management training courses. You can also complete these courses at Schmalz.
Our managers are carefully selected and extensively trained. The training is based on entrepreneurial competence, methodological competence, social competence, communication competence and change management competence. In the profil+ program, the managers continually develop their skills - under the guidance of experienced trainers. In the horizont+ program, managers look over the shoulders of other managers.
