In press shops, the individual metal sheets that will later be combined to make the car body are produced. The metal sheets are supplied in large rolls called coils. The cut metal blanks are then brought to the press lines and pressed into the appropriate shape at various pressing stations.

Temperature resistance during hot forming
Structural components such as A-pillars are heated during hot forming. After forming, the component with a temperature of up to 250°C is removed from the mold by suction cups. Schmalz offers suction cups made of HT2 material, which guarantees long-term temperature resistance to up to 250°C.
Ergonomic handling End of Line
In line with the press cycle, the finished parts have to be removed manually from the production line. The high number of cycles, the weight of the workpiece and the recurring movements strain the health of the worker.
