Regional Sales Manager (f/m) Southern California for Vacuum Automation



  • Develop and execute daily on a regional development plan which balances sales across all products and sales channels, and increases mindshare and awareness within the region towards the Schmalz brand for vacuum automation applications.
  • Provide distributor partners and direct target accounts with insight on the latest Schmalz products and technologies.
  • Gain critical insight into accounts current and future product needs as they relate to vacuum and communicate those clearly to US Product Management for product development pipeline.
  • Communicate frequently with all levels at distributor partners, inside sales support in Raleigh, and product and sales management.
  • Visit with customers 4 days a week on average and complete month end administrative tasks on time.
  • Maintain CRM and Pipeline activities.
  • Partner with the Manager – Corporate and Strategic Accounts in the development of key customer relationship management.
  • Develop sales plans and sales reports as needed.
  • Attend industry trade shows and customer open houses as needed.



  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of basic sales and good business acumen.
  • A minimum of three years of industry experience in the automation industry.
  • Industry experience in technology and sales channels, as well as a strategic thinker and project execution are preferred.
