For anyone involved in manual handling tasks with a high cycle frequency, Schmalz has the right solution with the vacuum tube lifters JumboFlex and JumboErgo. Both vacuum lifters are individually configured based on the modular principle and can be adapted to applications in a variety of ways. Schmalz will be bringing the JumboFlex, with a lift capacity of 35 kilograms, and the JumboErgo, with a lift capacity of 85 kilograms, to LogiMAT.
Stacking high and reaching deep
The Schmalz range includes the tube lifters JumboFlex High-Stack for particularly high stacking and Jumbo Low-Stack for handling goods close to the ground. The long, swivel-mounted operator handle on the JumboFlex High-Stack lets operators reach stacks at heights of up to 2.55 meters ergonomically and effortlessly. The JumboFlex High-Stack therefore offers significant potential to expand upward when lower-level storage space is limited. Even in containers, capacities can then be optimally utilized.
The special feature of the Jumbo Low-Stack is its long control handle: The employee controls upward and downward movement simply by turning a vertical handle. The handle glides smoothly through the employee’s hand during the lifting motion, allowing him or her to reach down into objects such as grid boxes, for example. The user retains complete control and an ergonomic body position at all times.
The crane systems from Schmalz are the ideal supplement to the vacuum lifters: The latest product is a modular aluminum flat jib. It allows for responsive movement in low-ceilinged areas. The user needs to apply significantly less force to move the jib, vacuum lifter and load in comparison to conventional steel jib cranes.
End effectors for robots
The area gripper FXCB will gives visitors to the trade show an insight into a product from the field of vacuum automation. The area gripper is designed specially for safe human/robot collaboration and intended for use in end-of-line packaging and pick-and-place applications. With its flexible foam gripping surface, the device can safely and securely hold cardboard boxes and components weighing up to eight kilograms. It has a modular design which allows both energy-saving ejector modules and intelligent vacuum switches for process monitoring to be integrated into the FXCB. The gripper can also be easily integrated into automation environments thanks to cutting-edge communication technology.
Another example of the effective use of robots is the combination of the electrical vacuum generator ECBPi and modular vacuum end effector (VEE). While the ECBPi gives the robot independence from compressed air connections, the VEE makes the overall gripper quick and easy to assemble.
Schmalz will top off its appearance at the trade fair in Stuttgart with vacuum components specifically for the packaging industry. Visitors will be able to test various machines, such as ejectors with fast cycle times, vacuum suction cups with soft sealing lips and flexible brackets.
