With the finger gripper OFG, Schmalz has a new gripper in its product range that grips in a tight-fitting and gentle manner. Delicate food products such as doughnuts, chocolate kisses, fruit, and vegetables are packaged safely and kept intact.
J. Schmalz GmbH has developed a new gripper for automated handling: The FQE is suitable for a variety of different tasks, including on collaborative robots, and grips workpieces of varying shapes and sizes with speed and reliability.
Schmalz is introducing a series of new solutions for the complex task of automated bin-picking, which includes ready-to-connect sets that can be installed intuitively as well as a new suction cup that adapts perfectly to the workpiece thanks to its thin sealing lip. All solutions are ideally suited for lightweight robots and cobots.
Digital Solutions for Vacuum Technology
Lightweight robots and intelligent vacuum components have become an integral part of the digitized and networked production world. Schmalz has produced a number of innovative products for the smart factory including a new bin picking solution, products incorporating the digital twin and a software tool providing a single access point for IO-Link components.
Gripping, moving, setting down – all of this would be impossible in automated processes without the right gripper. That is why Schmalz, the vacuum specialist, develops flexible systems and helps users choose and configure the right components: no small feat given the fact that the diversity of variants continues to grow as batch size steadily shrinks.
Custom Grippers at the Click of a Mouse
More than just a gripper: In the SLG, Schmalz has developed a system that can be designed and configured quickly and easily online. Production using 3D printers optimizes the whole manufacturing process. The lightweight gripper is ideal for a huge range of handling tasks.
Vacuum Technology for the Digital Factory
In order for electrical vacuum generators, grippers and compact ejectors to be visible to the smart factory, they must provide digital energy and process data in real time. Schmalz integrates interfaces such as IO-Link, Ethernet and NFC in its vacuum components, creating the intelligent foundation needed for networked manufacturing.
Small, Strong, Electric: New Vacuum Generator ECBPM
Schmalz adds electrical vacuum generators to its product family. The new CobotPump ECBPM (M stands for “Mini”) is designed especially for the automated handling of small parts with a single suction cup. This lightweight and compact solution is typically used on collaborative robots with a lifting capacity of up to three kilograms.
Vacuum Terminal SCTSi Ethernet Communicates at Field Level
Complex manufacturing processes require intelligent systems. Depending on the particular process, these systems need to be able to work in complete synchronicity and thus communicate with one another in real time. J. Schmalz GmbH has equipped the compact terminal SCTSi with an Ethernet interface for this very purpose.
New Gripper for Collaborative Robots
Humans and robots are collaborating much more closely in logistics. J. Schmalz GmbH has therefore developed a gripper solution that ensures a safe human-robot collaboration (MRK) thanks to its unique product design.
