Sustainability cannot be achieved on your own
When it comes to sustainability, Schmalz sets a good example - and not just within the company. As a member of various networks, Schmalz works on sustainability topics beyond the company. We use these platforms to exchange experiences, for further training and for mutual stimulation. We also get involved in local networks, such as the IHK Nordschwarzwald, by actively participating in exchanges with partner companies.
Klimaschutz company
Schmalz has been a member of the Kilmaschutz companies (climate protection companies) since 2010. This excellence initiative of the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce honors companies for climate protection and operational energy efficiency.
WIN business initiative
Schmalz has been a member of the WIN business initiative for sustainability of the state of Baden-Württemberg since 2010. In 2015, Schmalz was one of the first companies to sign the WIN charter.
B.A.U.M e.V.
Since 2016, Schmalz has been a member of B.A.U.M. With more than 500 members, the association is the largest corporate network for sustainable business in Europe.

J. Schmalz GmbH was one of the first companies to commit to the ambitious climate protection goals of the new Klimaschutzbündnis Baden-Württemberg (Climate Protection Alliance Baden-Württemberg).
