For safety-critical loads, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) should be included in the design. This ensures the necessary safety for the production process.

With the optional UPS, the smart vacuum pump GSP keeps workpieces safe for up to 20 hours, depending on the application. In addition, the vacuum pump GSP provides early warning via IO-Link in case of leaks or vacuum loss, before critical conditions arise.

For additional safety, an optional filter unit with a safety valve can be installed to control the release of residual vacuum.

The difference between the variants lies primarily in process transparency and the type of communication, while the size determines the suction capacity:

• Vacuum pump GSPi (intelligent): Designed for full data control (condition monitoring) and EPC (energy and process control) via IO-Link. The pump evaluates process data such as vacuum levels, evacuation times, and leak rates in real time. It is also ideal for direct connection to an compact valve LQEi.
• Vacuum pump GSPc (controlled): The efficient solution for fully automatic operation via standard digital signals (I/O). It is ideal when IO-Link is not required or when multiple compact valves LQE (e.g., for different gripper zones) are controlled via a separate I/O box.
• Suction rate (50, 100, 150): The number in the product code defines the performance class. The more porous the workpiece and the more suction cups installed in the system, the more suction rate (a higher number) is required.
