Career information day attracts over 150 visitors to Schmalz
Apprentices, dual study students and trainers from Schmalz inform visitors at the Schmalz Careers Info Day.
The highlight of the event was the individual job consultation, which offered potential applicants valuable guidance for their professional future. In addition to the consultants at the information booths, participants had the opportunity to make a personal consultation appointment in advance or spontaneously on site. Individual strengths and professional goals were discussed in order to identify suitable career paths. "During the individual training consultation, we responded to each individual interested party individually," said Schmalz HR Manager Daniel Just. "This was well received and was helpful for many young people."

In addition to company tours and presentations, visitors were given a deeper insight into the production and development of modern vacuum technology at exciting workshops. The "mini escape room" on the topic of sustainability was also well received by the guests - as was the crêpes stand and the currywurst with chips in the company restaurant.
The youth soccer club Nordschwarzwald Dornstetten was also present at the BIT. As the main sponsor, Schmalz has been supporting the club for years and is thus specifically committed to promoting young talent. "The development of young talent - both athletically and personally - is very important to us," says Daniel Just.
The application phase for the start of training in September 2026 is already in full swing. Schmalz also offers short-term taster internships for those who are undecided. The family-run company provides training in various technical and commercial professions and dual study degree courses and is one of the largest training companies in the region.
