With collaborative robots now capable of handling payloads exceeding 30 kg, safety measures have become essential for their implementation. To build more flexible production lines, it is effective to eliminate traditional guardrails and install safety sensors. However, strengthening safety measures tends to reduce productivity. Additionally, space is required to ensure safety.We propose using Zick’s sensor technology to minimize these negative factors as much as possible.
Specifically, we will introduce Zick’s original and unique solutions, including: (1) risk assessment consulting services; (2) an ultra-lightweight 2D laser scanner that can be mounted on a robot’s end effector; and (3) the industry’s only 3D safety laser scanner.
