Individual Vacuum Blocks VCBL-GL-C

Schmalz manufactures vacuum blocks according to individual customer dimensions. The upper suction plate is manufactured according to the customer's workpiece geometry. The bottom suction plate is rectangular in the corresponding dimensions (type 1 and type 2) or also has an individual geometry (type 3).

If dimensions, height or other required dimensions differ from the dimensions listed in the design data, the feasibility must be checked on a case-by-case basis.

Ordering process from workpiece to individual vacuum block VCBL-GL-C:

1. Workpiece available from customer as DXF file
2. Deciding which type is required
   • Type 1 without shoulder on the upper suction plate (X = 0mm)
   • Type 2 with 12 mm heel, e.g. if aggregate is immersed
   • Type 3 with turning function, e.g. for machining left and right part of a mirrored workpiece
3. Definition of the required offset between the outer edge of the workpiece and the outer edge of the vacuum block (offset SO)
4. Determination of the suction cup dimensions (S, M, L or individual dimension) based on the workpiece dimension minus offset (offset SO)
5. Inquiry to your Schmalz contact person or via the contact form with the following information
   • DXF file of the workpiece*
   • Type and dimensions of the desired suction cup (e.g. type 2, dimension M)
   • Offset SO
   • Height H
   • If necessary, any other requirements that deviate from the design data

*Requirements for the DXF file of the workpiece:
  Indication of the units of measurement in millimeters (mm) or inches (in).
  Specification of the scale (1:XX)
  Dimensioning of the workpiece
