Precision for battery production: Less effort, more output
The small size makes the spring plungers FSTImc ideal for applications with limited space and high dynamics.
With the spring plunger FSTImc, Schmalz presents a compact solution for demanding applications. The component combines a very soft spring with integrated streaming elements. A check valve (SVKG) controls the air flow in a targeted manner, while a flow restrictor (SW) dampens it. This combination stabilizes the vacuum design when not all suction points are occupied. This allows applications to handle different workpieces with one gripper, as the system reacts to partial coverage. This reduces set-up times and saves costs. At the same time, the system meets ESD requirements to prevent electrostatic discharge - an indispensable feature in electronics and battery production. The spring plungers can be conveniently designed using an online configurator.
Clean processes without critical particles
Schmalz presents the new compact terminal SCTSi-BY for battery production. It completely dispenses with copper, nickel and zinc, as these metals can release microparticles that significantly disrupt the processes. Thanks to integrated functions for vacuum generation and control, users can handle different parts with just one vacuum system. Interfaces (IO-Link or Ethernet) seamlessly integrate the compact terminal into existing systems in order to monitor production in real time and correct deviations in a targeted manner.
Control and application from a single source
Schmalz will also be showing electronic vacuum and pressure switches in a compact cube shape. They detect process states precisely and send clear signals to the control system. This increases safety, which is crucial for automated systems. Industry-specific grippers are available for special applications. The magnetic gripper SGM-SV-BY for round cells and the suction cups SFF/SFB1 cover typical tasks. They are available in a version leaving few marks (HT1), an ESD-compliant variant (NBR-ESD) or as a combined solution (HT1-ESD) for maximum flexibility.
Binar Handling, part of the Schmalz Group, is supplementing its trade fair innovations with an electrical gripper that moves printed-circuit boards safely. The system meets ESD requirements and supports ergonomic working.
