Users of the vacuum lifting devices VacuMaster, the vacuum tube lifters Jumbo, crane systems and chain hoists can now find answers to questions about device numbers or spare part numbers, instruction manuals or the next servicing date in no time at all, because J. Schmalz GmbH is now fitting all its manual handling devices with identification tags. If a user scans these tags with his or her smartphone, the digital product file appears in the Schmalz ControlRoom app. In this file, the user can find a device profile containing all the important product information, including the part number, for instance. The tags are located either directly on the operating element or – on crane systems and chain hoists – in the vicinity of the main switch.

The comprehensive information provides rapid answers to everything from queries regarding operation to questions about upcoming service calls. The specified basic information can be accessed without registering, but the one-time effort required to do so is more than worthwhile: you can only view the display of individual system components and list of all the other Schmalz vacuum handling systems used in your company if you are registered. Likewise, you can access instruction manuals and spare parts lists and display upcoming servicing dates following successful registration. You can also find contact details for the responsible technical consultant and the Schmalz service team.

The new functions are already implemented in the ControlRoom app. New devices come delivered with the tag. The Schmalz app is available to users of Android devices at the Google Play store. iOS smartphone users can download the app from the Apple Store. The app and the digital product file can generally be used free of charge.
