Schmalz wins award for outstanding support of students
The DHBW award is also appreciated by the satisfied DH students at Schmalz.
The Dual Partner Award evaluates outstanding programs and concepts for dual students. Schmalz impressed the jury with its excellent implementation in the areas of theory-practice transfer, integration of students into the company and further development and involvement after the bachelor's degree. The vacuum specialist from Glatten already received the award in 2017.
"At Schmalz, we see the promotion of young talent as the key to the future of our company," emphasizes Daniel Just, HR Manager at Schmalz. "Our goal is to provide students with the best possible support on their way into the working world. The award shows that we are managing this task well."
This is also evident in the personal support and further development of the up-and-coming talents at Schmalz. Daniel Just explains, "At our company, students are supported and encouraged through reflection meetings with their instructors and are guided and mentored by learning coaches." During their practical phases, students are given the opportunity to work in different areas of the company and are actively involved in daily processes.
Each student spends a practical phase at one of the 29 international subsidiaries abroad to develop their intercultural skills. The final thesis is written in the takeover department to ensure seamless integration into their future working areas. After graduation, Schmalz opens up a wide range of opportunities for a career as a specialist or manager.
With the Dual Partner Award, the DHBW recognizes Schmalz's commitment to the professional development of young talent and sets standards in dual education.
