Handling efficiently, working ergonomically
The conveyor system Destuff-it™ is self-propelled and transports loads weighing up to 75 kilograms and with a maximum width of 610 millimetres.
It takes more than motivated employees to keep operations running. Smart technology is needed to increase productivity and take the strain off their backs at the same time. This is exactly where the portable conveyor systems Destuff-it™ and Restuff-it™ come in. These ergonomically designed solutions are suitable for companies that handle a large number of containers every day. Destuff-it™ supports unloading, while the bidirectional Restuff-it™ variant loads and unloads freight boxes using the same conveyor belt. Both systems adapt to the respective requirements and are particularly effective where space is tight: in containers and truck holds.
Employees use the systems at the end of conveyor lines to sort different items while the goods are automatically transported onwards. Operators can use the systems to palletize parcels, boxes, bags and baggage efficiently and professionally. They are particularly suitable for non-palletized and unsorted goods. With a throughput of two containers a day, the machine pays for itself in less than two years. Overtime surcharges at peak times are noticeably reduced and dock utilization is significantly improved.
The difference lies in the detail
The moving operator platform can be raised to a height of 699 millimetres and brings the person to every package - whether at the very bottom or high up. The system head, which can be moved on all sides, adapts to any position on the container wall. The platform can carry 250 kilograms, while the conveyor belt itself moves loads weighing up to 75 kilograms. With a width of 610 millimetres and a speed of 3.7 meters per second, Destuff-it™ and Restuff-it™ transport up to 2,000 cardboard boxes per hour out of the container. The operator controls the machine via an easy-to-reach console. The conveyor systems are self-propelled and can be easily moved from loading bay to loading bay. Both conveyor systems are highly available for peak times, and breakdowns are an exception. This is ensured, for example, by the modular belt, whose wear parts can be replaced quickly and easily.
Safety first
Sophisticated safety functions protect operators during operation. Before a person becomes trapped, the system registers the blockage and stops the belt. LED strips bring light into the darkness and reduce tripping hazards. A study by Ohio State University, USA, confirms: The conveyor system significantly reduces the strain on shoulder and back muscles and the spine compared to manual work. This also measurably increases employee satisfaction.
Thanks to the portable conveyor system Destuff-it™, employees can unload up to 2,000 parcels per hour almost effortlessly.
