Vacuum Blocks VCBL-B
- Vacuum system for Biesse consoles
- Hose-free with touch valve
- Pre-fixation in the vacuum block mounting
A medium-sized joinery business manufactures high-quality shop fittings and interior furnishings as well as wooden furniture. Until recently, the company outsourced work to external service providers in cases where the workpiece needed to be processed using a CNC woodworking center. Due to increasing numbers of incoming orders, the company management made the decision to purchase an in-house system from the Italian manufacturer Biesse. Instead of using the vacuum blocks supplied by the manufacturer, the joinery looked around at an early stage for possible alternatives. Vacuum specialist Schmalz had what it was looking for – the vacuum blocks VCBL-B are developed specifically for Biesse console systems.
The vacuum blocks VCBL-B from Schmalz are equipped with a durable plastic housing to provide optimum stability. They provide a cost-effective alternative to the original parts and are just as easy to secure in the in-built suction block mounts.
The suction plate in the vacuum block, featuring a special contour and flexible double sealing lip, enables optimum adaptation to the workpiece surface of varying workpiece geometries. In the case of wear, collisions or other damage, only the suction plate needs to be replaced, eliminating high costs for spare parts or the need to replace the complete vacuum block.
Moreover, the vacuum blocks are equipped with strong magnets for additional, permanent pretensioning. A smooth-running, plastic sensing valve activates the vacuum automatically and gently when a workpiece is applied, protecting the workpiece surface. Unused vacuum blocks can remain in the mount.
The joinery company benefits from the wide range of models available from Schmalz, enabling it to address the varying requirements of its customers and clamp workpieces with the most diverse geometries – quickly, easily and securely.
