Innospann Adapter Plate for Clamping Wooden Workpieces in a CNC Machine

Very thin, bent or complex parts are also clamped using a vacuum in a CNC machining center. Schmalz has developed the Innospann adapter-plate especially for this purpose.

The Innospann adapter plate complements the vacuum block product range from Schmalz excellently, by allowing the user to clamp even very thin, bent or complex parts. Depending on the requirements, they can be used for mixed operation in conjunction with the conventional vacuum blocks. A flexible modular system guarantees the right clamping solution for every workpiece. Schmalz offers a solution for all machines commonly found on the market.

The Innospann adapter plate is placed on the existing machine table like an ordinary vacuum block. Suction cups in three different standard dimensions can then be positioned on the adapter plate with the flexibility required to suit the application. Once they have been magnetically prefastened, the workpiece can be laid down and clamped by activating the operating vacuum. A wide range of accessories and replacement parts complements the standard system with sensing valves, lifting systems, stops and much more. If the suction cups become damaged, either the sealing frame or the whole cup can be replaced at low cost and without hassle.
