Zákazník: Agoprofil S.p.A.
Agoprofil Spa is an Italian specialist in high-quality door manufacturing based in northern Italy. With 36 employees, the company specializes in the production of wooden doors in a wide variety of formats and specifications. With many years of experience in woodworking and processing, Agoprofil supplies customers with customized door solutions. The company is characterized by its craftsmanship, commitment to quality and innovative production processes. Reliability and customer service are at the core of the its corporate philosophy.

Výzva
For a long time, Agoprofil's door production was characterized by heavy physical labor and complex manual handling. Each wooden door, weighing up to 80 kilograms and three meters long, had to be moved by two to three employees working together. Due to the physical strain and the unergonomic grips, a maximum of 120 doors were possible per shift. In total, the teams moved up to 10 tons a day - entirely by hand. The doors were unwieldy and, because of their porous surface, very difficult to grip securely. Since each door had different dimensions, employees constantly had to reposition themselves and adjust their hand placements. Interruptions in workflow were part of the daily routine. For Managing Director Marco Agosto and his team, it was clear that things could not go on like this. The process slowed down production, required significant physical effort, and led to noticeable strain on employees. With only 12 to 15 safe handling cycles per hour, the team was consistently operating at the limits of endurance. And despite everyone giving their best, the process remained cumbersome, exhausting, and far from a modern, ergonomic working environment. Agoprofil urgently needed a solution that would address all of these challenges at once: a flexible system for safely handling doors of varying widths, a significant ergonomic relief for employees, increased productivity and reliable consistent quality for every single workpiece.
Řešení od společnosti Schmalz
Agoprofil has relied on Schmalz's expertise for years. The company was already working with two vacuum tube lifters JumboErgo vacuum tube lifters, equipped with standard grippers that had proven themselves in everyday production. However, the company was now faced with a new challenge: doors in many different widths that could not be handled flexibly enough with the existing grippers. Instead of investing in new lifting devices, Agoprofil deliberately chose to upgrade its existing systems with an innovative, adjustable special gripper. The JumboErgo with adjustable vacuum gripper proved to be the ideal solution. The four-pad suction gripper handles loads up to up to 80 kilograms and consists of one longitudinal beam and two crossbeams with a total of four suction plates. These adhere safely even to porous wooden surfaces, protect against scratches and can be quickly adjusted without using tools to formats up to three meters. The system replaces the previously strenuous manual work. Tasks that once required two to three people are now performed by a single operator. At the same time, productivity has increased significantly: instead of a maximum of 120 doors per shift, Agoprofil now handles up to 160 workpieces with the vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo. With the added benefits of ergonomics, safety, and efficiency, the entire team is highly satisfied.
