Layer gripping system SPZ for automated handling of cans in layers

In order to implement a logistical process for transporting layers of cans within a packaging process, the company decided to purchase a vacuum layer gripping system from Schmalz.

The layer gripping system SPZ can transport complete layers of 90 cans. The system is not bound to a particular can size, meaning that even entire layers of cans with different weights ranging from 16 kg to 34 kg do not represent a problem for the layer gripping system. The patented sealing foam prevents leakage and facilitates heavy holding forces, even for cans on a running conveyor belt.
