Vacuum Tube Lifter JumboErgo for Handling Workpieces with a Large-Area Gripper

Loading and unloading of a CNC machining center was done manually by two or more employees. To facilitate this heavy, physical exhausting work for the employees, the company decided to buy a lifting aid from Schmalz.

The vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo offers the possibility to handle processed workpieces fast and ergonomically. Due to its one-hand operation and its slight weight it is possible to accomplish the work without much effort. The tube lifter is equipped with a double suction cup. Both suction cups can be moved steplessly on the main beam and adjusted to every workpiece format. The tube lifter JumboErgo at this application is combined with a column-mounted slewing crane SK from Schmalz. This crane is designed for loads up to 110 kg and has a swivel angle of 270 degrees. Therewith it covers the major working area and enables flexible and ergonomic work by one person only.
