The central component of a column-mounted slewing jib crane is the column mounted on a pedestal, to which a jib arm is attached. This means that the slewing angle of a slewing crane is usually limited and the direction of movement must be reversed after the stop has been reached.
Column-mounted slewing jib cranes from Schmalz support you in almost every manual handling application. Together with our vacuum lifters, they form an unbeatable team.
In combination with one of our vacuum lifting devices of the VacuMaster type or one of our vacuum tube lifters Jumbo, column-mounted slewing jib cranes from Schmalz form complete systems that are ready for connection. In this way, our cranes support a wide range of manual handling processes. Their high flexibility makes them the optimal helper for a wide variety of applications.
Schmalz pillar-mounted slewing jib cranes are equipped with aluminum or steel crane rails, depending on the required load capacity. Crane rails made of aluminum are used for loads up to 650kg and impress with their outstanding ease of movement and maximum ergonomics. This ensures that even heavy loads can be moved safely and without endangering health. If larger loads of up to 1.2 tons are to be handled, Schmalz pillar-mounted slewing jib cranes are equipped with steel crane rails. To further increase ergonomics, it is also possible to support the crane movements with electric drives.
Cranes from Schmalz can be optionally equipped with theSCH chain hoist, a rope hoist, a rope balancer or a chain hoist with lifting device - for example, with one of our vacuum lifters. As standard, our pillar-mounted slewing jib cranes have a slewing angle of 270°, which can, however, be reduced as required with the optimum SWBG slewing angle limiter.
With the help of the extensive range of accessories, cranes from Schmalz can also be prepared for almost any task in the field of manual handling.
The highlight of the accessories range is the GP mobile base plate, which allows the column-mounted slewing jib crane to be moved quickly and easily using a lift truck or forklift.
Special cranes with articulated, telescopic or particularly flat jibs illustrate the versatility of our pillar jib cranes. The range of special solutions is rounded off with a pillar jib crane that meets the requirements for operation in explosion-protected areas.
