Today, Reichert Holztechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Pfalzgrafenweiler, Baden-Württemberg, employs over 70 employees on an area of 9,000 square meters. The company specializes in manufacturing high-quality furniture fronts made of solid wood and lacquer. Its customers include kitchen and furniture manufacturers, joineries, and the companies in the trade show and shipbuilding industries. However, Reichert also supplies the residential and commercial sectors. The company also operates as a contract manufacturer for all types of lacquering. Another important area of expertise is the polishing of high-gloss surfaces. The challenge
Due to the wide range of the products, which extends from individually manufactured single pieces to large series, Reichert was faced with the following challenges: Firstly, machining small batch sizes requires frequent changes of clamping plates and vacuum blocks on the grid table. This results in set-up times that are significantly too long. Secondly, there is too little flexibility in the handling and processing of particularly shaped and small workpieces. Thirdly, acquiring spare parts is too costly.

The Schmalz Innospann Steel-Plate for wood working is an optimal solution for furniture manufacturers. This vacuum clamping system is ideal for retrofitting CNC processing machines with smooth, grid or console tables. The adapter plates of the hose-free vacuum clamping system are positioned directly above the vacuum supplies of the grid and console table systems. Flexible mounting is possible with up to four Mono-Bases and suction cups. Plug-in spacer rings can be used to adjust the working height as required. Lasered grid divisions help employees to position the suction cups correctly when loading. Schmalz meets the challenge of safely processing rough, textured and brushed parts with a particularly flexible foam rubber seal.
