Crane system
In most cases, the term crane system refers to a so-called gantry crane. Crane systems are rail-supported, which is why the hoist moves along a predefined rail system. Cranes from Schmalz can be configured as single girder, double girder, or monorail crane systems.
Crane systems are used in almost all in-house production, mounting and logistics processes. A crane system covers a particularly large working area.
Crane systems from Schmalz are manufactured from high-quality aluminum. The low weight of the crane system therefore ensures excellent lightweight running. The cranes have a modular design: From an extensive modular system, a crane system can be individually adapted to the ceiling construction or other customer-specific superstructure.
Schmalz crane systems also impress with maximum safety thanks to an independent physical skill calculation of all load-bearing components using the FEM method. All Schmalz crane systems are also designed according to the latest technology (DIN EN 13001: lifting class HC2, hoist type HD1).

Crane systems with highly flexible and wear resistant aluminum profiles
The aluminum crane section SRA is available in five different thicknesses and is extremely wear resistant against deflection and torsion. Depending on the profile thickness, our crane systems can carry loads of up to 1,200kg. The lightweight aluminum profiles allow a length of up to eight meters, which can be extended using rail connectors. The rail connectors are fully loadable at the interface.
The unique TRO-SRA transport trolleys distribute the load evenly over all load-bearing castors, preventing the trolleys from jamming. In addition, this means that a single transport trolley is sufficient to connect the crane girder and hoist to the crane system.
Cranes from Schmalz can be combined with the SCH chain hoist, a rope hoist, a smart hoist or one of our vacuum lifters. The advantages are clear: the high flexibility and a large work surface increase the ergonomics and speed of working.
