Schmalz is one of "Germany's Best Employers 2024"

Great joy in Glatten: The vacuum specialist Schmalz has received the "Germany's Best Employer" award from Great Place to Work® - and now for the seventh time. The award was given to companies that offer their employees particularly attractive and supportive working conditions.

Daniel Just, Head of Human Resources, accepted the "Germany's Best Employer 2024" award in Cologne.

Schmalz is in the top 20 in the "Great Place to Work® - Germany's Best Employers" competition in the 501 to 2,000 employees category. In total, more than 1,000 companies took part in the competition. "The award is a great honor for us. It is a success that we owe first and foremost to our employees, as they see our company as a very good place to work," says Daniel Just, Head of HR at Schmalz. The vacuum specialist has already received the "Best Employer in Manufacturing and Industry", "Best Employer in Baden-Württemberg" and "Great Start" awards for its training concept - the prizes are also awarded as part of the "Great Place to Work®" competition.

The Glatten-based company has invested a lot in the working environment of its employees in recent years. "We have created working environments for our employees - whether in production, in the office or in development - that are trend-setting. We attach particular importance to modernity and the use of the latest technologies," explains Daniel Just. At Schmalz, this also includes an open corporate culture, transparent communication and a modern feedback culture. With the LIFE+ benefits package, the company offers attractive powers that employees can use both professionally and privately. These include attractive bonuses, profit sharing and a wide range of courses directly on the company premises.

Schmalz has been awarded the "Germany's Best Employer" seal of approval seven times since 2004. The "Great Place to Work®" competition is one of the most prestigious employer awards in Germany, and companies of all sizes from a wide range of industries are assessed. The assessment is based on an extensive and anonymous survey of employees on key workplace issues such as trust in managers, identification with the company, career development opportunities, health promotion and work-life balance. "The survey results reflect the central values of our corporate culture and are proof that they are truly lived," says Daniel Just. "We take the feedback seriously and will incorporate the findings from the GPTW survey into all the measures we use to continuously maintain and promote our attractiveness as an employer," Daniel Just goes on to achieve. The company currently employs around 1,800 employees at 31 locations worldwide.
