Vacuum area gripping system FXC for flexible handling of film-packaged glass jars and wood pallets

In the food industry, glasses packaged in film are stacked on pallets. Intermediate layers and additional pallets also have to be inserted. As a solution for this, Schmalz offers the vacuum area gripping system FXC which can be connected to a palletizing robot.

The vacuum area gripping system FXC has an integrated ejector for short evacuation times. The inner suction surface of the system is equipped with type FG bellows suction cups (20 mm in diameter) which function as a sealing element. These are particularly suited for handling non-rigid workpieces, such as bundles of glass jars packaged in film. For the outer suction surface, the chosen sealing element was a foam that enabled the handling of pallets.
