Clean rooms
Cleanliness starts with the details – safety comes through technology.
In cleanrooms, compliance with the strictest cleanliness standards determines the quality, safety and cost-effectiveness of your production. EEven the smallest particles or germs can cause significant disruptions – with far-reaching consequences for product quality and compliance.
A cleanroom itself is a specially controlled environment in which air purity is strictly regulated. Here, particles in the air are minimized by special filters, and factors such as temperature, humidity and airflow are closely monitored. Cleanrooms are classified according to standards such as ISO 14644 or GMP and are essential for industries such as pharmaceuticals and semiconductors, where the smallest impurities could endanger processes or products.
Compliance with these strict purity standards is a constant challenge. Manual work steps in particular pose an increased risk of (cross) contamination, while at the same time companies are under pressure to make processes efficient and safe. Practice shows:
In cleanrooms, precision is the key to safety. Where manual operations reach their limits, our automation and handling solutions from Schmalz create the necessary reliability.∼ Matthias Müller, Head of Sales, Vacuum Automation
Cleanroom technology is much more than just a technical aid. It is the basis for meeting the highest cleanliness and safety requirements in sensitive environments while making your processes as efficient as possible. Cleanroom technology includes all systems and components that ensure a controlled, contamination-free environment – from air preparation to innovative vacuum handling systems.
Schmalz offers vacuum automation and handling solutions that have been specially designed for use in cleanrooms. These solutions ensure precise, standard-compliant, gentle and contamination-free processes and make a significant contribution to process reliability and product quality.
Manual handling solutions from Schmalz are easy to clean, contamination-proof and made from certified materials. Their robust, low-gap stainless steel construction minimizes risks, meets strict requirements and protects the product and process - for maximum operational safety and confidence.
At the same time, our vacuum automation solutions are made of abrasion-resistant materials that reduce particle emissions to a minimum and ensure the hygienic manufacture of sensitive products. Easy-to-clean suction cups ensure shorter cleaning times and prevent expensive downtimes.
Our cleanroom solutions in the Vacuum Automation sector are tested for their cleanliness and cleanroom suitability by the Frauenhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart. These tests are carried out in a cleanroom that is 10 times cleaner than Class 1 according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1. As a result, the systems and / or materials are certified with a TESTED DEVICE® or CSM® certification mark. In this work, the institute draws on over 30 years of experience and expertise in the field of cleanliness and cleanroom suitability.
