Vacuum Tube Lifter JumboErgo for Loading and Unloading an Edge Banding Machine

Two employees used to have to load veneered wooden sheets onto an edge banding machine to be processed. To reduce this physical strain and the associated health risks, the company decided to purchase a vacuum handling system from Schmalz.

The vacuum tube lifter JumboErgo 85 in conjunction with the column-mounted slewing crane SK from Schmalz fulfilled all the company’s requirements. The tube lifter can effortlessly lift and lower loads of up to 85 kg and is ideal for regular handling of veneered wooden sheets. With the lifting system, both machine downtime and the work required of the personnel required were greatly reduced and the production processes were optimized. Equipped with a double suction cup DG, the tube lifter can transport the veneered wooden sheets without damage. The two suction cups, mounted on a crossbeam, are fully adjustable. Vacuum force alone is used to lift loads. This is generated by a blower of type SBL. The column-mounted slewing crane SK is designed for a maximum load of 85 kg and has a jib length of 6000 mm. A large working area is covered by the swivel angle of up to approx. 270°.
