Previously, it was a major physical challenge for employees to lift the heavy sheets onto the CNC machine or the panel dividing saw for processing. The dimensions of the sheets delivered are 2.80 x 2.00 meters, but a length of five meters is not uncommon. With a thickness of up to 60 millimeters, a sheet weighs well over 200 kilograms. The sheets are so bulky and heavy that a second person always has to be called in, interrupting their actual work.

The solution from Schmalz is called VacuMaster Wood and is the ideal lifting device for the wood workshop: The VacuMaster Wood transports a wide variety of wooden boards or beams very ergonomically. Both suction-tight and air-permeable workpieces up to a length of 5,000 mm can be handled. The VacuMaster Wood has a long operator handle that allows the carpenter to conveniently place the heavy and large sheets on the processing table. The swivelling function enables him not only to place the sheets delivered lying on the machine, but also to push them directly into the storage rack in a vertical position. After processing, sheets and remnants can be conveniently removed from the processing table and placed on a transport trolley, for example. With the Comfort operator handle, the carpenter can hold the vacuum lifting device safely with both hands and operate the necessary switches at the same time without having to reach around. This makes handling not only very safe, but also child's play. The low weight and compact dimensions also make handling considerably easier compared to other vacuum lifting devices and ensure particularly ergonomic working.
