Handling System
The term handling is derived from the human hand and is used to describe manual lifting and moving processes of objects, especially in the field of logistics. Handling means changing the position or location of a workpiece, i.e. grasping something, moving it and placing it back at a specific location. Handling systems from Schmalz contribute to increased ergonomics and better working conditions. The handling solutions from Schmalz consist of the Jumbo and VacuMaster lifting devices and a matching crane system.

Vacuum tube lifter Jumbo
With the help of the Jumbo handling system, workpieces such as cardboard boxes, bags or wooden boards weighing up to 300 kg can be moved effortlessly and efficiently. This vacuum lifter is particularly suitable for lifting processes that require fast and frequent movement of the workpiece. The lifting aids can be equipped with the appropriate gripper for almost any application. In addition, special grippers have been developed for handling boxes, batteries or baggage, for example. Replacing a gripper on the Jumbo handling system is quick and easy.
