Vacuum Lifting Device VacuMaster Basic for Handling Glass Sheets

During production, sensitive glass sheets are lifted from a palette and placed on a machining center. In order to simplify production and provide its employees with an ergonomic solution, the firm decided to purchase a vacuum lifting device from Schmalz.

The vacuum lifting device VacuMaster Basic grips the workpiece using a vacuum. The lifting device is equipped with four suction plates for this purpose. The suction plates ensure gentle and safe handling. The suction plates are made of a special material to avoid leaving marks on the glass. A vacuum gauge showing the current vacuum level provides additional safety throughout the entire handling process. If the vacuum is not strong enough to lift the workpiece safely, an acoustic signal is triggered. The controller in the basic configuration ensures an ergonomic working experience with the lifting device. A chain hoist lifts and lowers the lifting device with the picked up workpiece. The lifting system is attached to a column-mounted slewing crane. The aluminum crane jib ensures the necessary ease of movement during the manual loading process. The slewing crane covers a large working area, and is both space-saving and safe. Using the vacuum lifting device VacuMaster, the process was made simpler and more ergonomic.
